Product Overview
IT-Conductor FLUX™ is an SAP-native Post Copy Automation (PCA) tool designed to address the evolving needs of SAP customers in today’s complex IT environments. Unlike traditional solutions that demand extensive OS-level access, FLUX™ operates entirely within the SAPGUI, ensuring smooth integration with your existing SAP setup and full compliance with SAP RISE deployments.
With FLUX™, IT-Conductor brings you a highly efficient and user-friendly tool that streamlines the replacement of SAP technical data, making it particularly valuable in environments with restricted OS-level access. By using SAP's Background Job Processing and R3Trans technology, FLUX™ delivers robust performance and reliability, making system refreshes easier and more efficient.
How does it work?
IT-Conductor FLUX™ operates by importing a transport package into the SAP system, which includes all the necessary components for managing Post Copy Automation (PCA) tasks within the SAPGUI. After the transport is imported, users can access the FLUX™ cockpit to configure settings like package file locations and export/import parameters. FLUX™ simplifies the export and import process using SAP's R3TRANS, ensuring accurate data handling and comprehensive monitoring and logging for transparency and troubleshooting.

Important Considerations for IT-Conductor FLUX™
User Management Before System Refresh If users need to be locked or unlocked before the System Refresh, the SAP Security and Basis teams must perform this activity.
FLUX™ Technical Scope FLUX™ only exports and imports technical configuration post refresh. Master and transactional data are copied from the production system. You must run Tcode BDLS to convert logical system names after the refresh.
Parallel Processing Considerations All other configuration packages are exported/imported as background jobs. If multiple packages are included in a single configuration, background jobs will run in parallel. Ensure sufficient batch processes are available to handle parallel execution.
Running VARIANTS and BATCHJOBS in Dialogue Mode These packages are exceptions and are automatically executed in dialogue mode by FLUX™. To prevent ABAP timeout short dumps, you may need to increase the following SAP system profile parameters:
rdisp/scheduler/prio_high/max_runtime
rdisp/scheduler/prio_normal/max_runtime
rdisp/scheduler/prio_low/max_runtime
rdisp/max_wprun_time
